Welcome to Greater PRT. This site is dedicated to the history of rapid transit in Philadelphia. The site is particularly obsessed with A. Merritt Taylor, Philadelphia’s first Director of Transit, and what might have been had the plans he proposed between 1912 and 1916 been completed.
